Once again its on!! Which American Crew is going to represent USA at the International BOTY in France!!! Lets bring the title back home yall!!
Rules For BOTY USA.
Important Please Read Carefully.
All Crews Participating in the BOTY USA will have to Rock (perform) a 6 minute show. (Cannot go over the time, but it can be a little less. Points are deducted for going over the 6 minutes.)
For this years BOTY USA we will be picking the top 8 crews with the best show to battle it out crew against crew.
The Winning Crew will be flown out to the International BOTY in France to represent the USA and themselves!!!
Attention all crews, please bring 2 cd copies of your show music with you the day of the event. The extra one is just in case your first one doesn't work or skips. Please bring good copies. Test them out a lot before you bring them.
Crews can have 10 minutes to try their show and figure out there entrances and staging the day of event. The call time for all crews is 11 am. Please be on time. It is first come first serve on the stage to work on your show. Please let us know if you have small props that you will be using. But please do not use props that create a big mess. There will be a small movie screen on stage above in the back if you need to project something for your show. Please be sure to bring the camera a video that you would need to use for your projection.
All Crews that make the top 8 to battle are limited to 1 routine per battle, that includes their commandos. The Final battle for BOTY USA can be unlimited routines and commandos. But take note why would you want to do so many routines anyways. LOL!!

But i will give you my own personal opinion about the man that i have had the honor to share the same floor with on dif occasions. He is and will always be The Best B-Boy period. The Epitome!!! Here is a brief Documentary i had never seen before called "History of the birth of Hip Hop Culture until 1991".(If thats the name?) Even though i dont agree with everything being dropped in this Doc and i feel that certain things can be corrected with actual facts that have been brought to light in these past years. But just like any other doc or book you might read and see, there is information that can be used and taken into account. We just need to watch it with an open mind. Afrika Bambaataa does drop some nice Gems for us to think about. One of the things i liked the most was the footage of "The Funky 4 Plus One" was very fresh to see being that they are one of my favorite groups. I remember i had there album in the 80`s!!! Man Wish i still had that!! I gotta laugh at the comparison Mr. Wiggles said about Prince and James Brown!! LOL!!! Classic funny!! Its great to see how young everybody was. But its also great to know now how many of our pioneers have grown to be great speakers and to really be more articulate when they get interviewed.
I just want to say that we are all still growing up and finding out so much more information about our fathers and mothers of this culture we all Love and share together. We all got OurStories to tell and who were around our way making mad noise, so lets start building together with an open mind and patience as we grow and learn to shed that light to the masses about our culture. Lets make it happen. Peace.

"ALL CITY" RARE 1983 Hip Hop Documentary.

This was a documentary made on an experimental tip about the early days of the Hip-Hop movement in the South Bronx when it started to get its exposure in the galleries around N.Y. City. It went by the name All City and it was made by Henry Chalfant and was hosted by Spank from the TC5 crew. The doc had some of the originators doing there thing in full swing. The first time i saw this was about 1996 on a tape that was given to me by the one and the only Dj Leacy(Rip). Here i have found it again posted up by someone by the name of JiveRock. Enjoy it yall!!! Its got some Classic Classic Footage. Check out Wiggles,TKid,Spank and many others doing there thing. Like Spank says This is "The Book of knowledge"..... Word!!! Enjoy!!!

Yo, Everybody that has`nt seen this and for those that have like myself. I saw this when i was in my teenage years. I think i was about 15 or 16 years old when i saw it. I would like to share it with you guys. Watch closely to how certain things was rocked this includes the sneakers, the hair,the swagger,the surrounding society,what was on the walls in the cribs,the speech,lingo,the hand movements,gestures and the soul thats there!!! For some of us our society is our back ground. We move the way we move because of this and because of many other reasons. Think about it!! 80 Blocks From Tiffany's is a 1979 documentary directed by Gary Weiss. It depicted the daily life of gangs within the context of the South Bronx. It dealt primary with two African American and Puerto Rican gangs known as the "Savage Skulls" and the "Savage Nomads".
The South Bronx was known for its severe social decay during the 1970s and this idea was emphasised throughout the documentary. The documentary also illustrated many social issues such as high unemployment, prostitution and drug and alcohol abuse.
